We're contacting you about an improvement to our Canadian purchase order ca=
ncellation policy. This update aligns CA purchase orders with the US cancel=
lation policy, launched last year.

Starting on January 16, 2018, we are simplifying our cancellation policy fo=
r both existing and new purchase orders. Please take a moment to familiariz=
e yourself with this cancellation policy and prepare your operations teams =
for any updates you might need to make in your fulfilment processes.

We now have two distinct policies: one impacting regular orders (replenishm=
ent, staged, or manually placed orders), and one impacting direct import or=
ders.

Under these policies, Amazon will cancel outstanding orders if products are=
 not received within the specified windows.

For regular orders (replenishment, staged, or manually placed), Amazon will=
 auto-cancel unreceived PO line items without an advanced shipment notifica=
tion (ASN) 7 days after your expected delivery date (EDD), or 30 days after=
 the end of the ship/delivery window, whichever is sooner.

    For accepted line items with a submitted ASN, Amazon will auto-cancel u=
nreceived items 30 days after the end of the ship/delivery window. Please t=
ake this into account when planning order fulfilment as you will need to fa=
ctor transit and receive time into your fulfilment if you are near the 30 d=
ay post-ship/delivery window deadline.
    This means that backordered line items will auto-cancel if not received=
 into our network 30 days after the end of the ship/delivery window on the =
purchase order. Any late backordered items will be subject to the PO On-Tim=
e Accuracy chargeback.
    For items you've already placed on backorder, those may be cancelled un=
der the new policy.=20

For direct import orders, accepted line items without an ASN will auto-canc=
el 45 days after the end of the ship/delivery window on the purchase order =
if not received.

    Accepted direct import items (including backorders) with an ASN will au=
to-cancel if not received into our network 120 days after the ship/delivery=
 window on the purchase order, the longest amount of time these orders will=
 remain open.=20

The above cancellation policy applies to all purchase orders received after=
 January 16, 2018. Any late or unreceived items that our system has auto-ca=
ncelled will be assessed for the PO On-Time Accuracy chargeback.

For purchase orders received before January 16, 2018, there will be a grace=
 window for cancelled items before receiving a PO On-Time Accuracy chargeba=
ck. Note that this grace period will not impact any PO On-Time Accuracy cha=
rgebacks you might have received before January 16, 2018.

You will find details of your ship/delivery window in your Amazon purchase =
order. To alert you of all purchase orders that need to be fulfilled before=
 the cancellation date, see Update past due PO items under Action Items on =
your Vendor Central home page.

Please continue to fulfil these orders within your ship/delivery window or =
before the cancellation policy dates where possible. If you receive a cance=
llation notice and can reallocate that inventory to future orders, this is =
preferable than filling cancelled orders.
