But that is just not happening. The recent survey conducted by AP Now reveals that if anything, some of those old thorns are getting worse. In the December issue, we take a look at the five biggest issues and as identified by the survey participants and offer solutions, where applicable. Here's one of them. Issue #3: Meal pricing guidelines. Whether you use per diems or just provide guidelines for what is allowable for meals with regard to pricing, a large number of travelers are apt to complain. In fact, 38% of the survey respondents revealed their travelers were not happy about these limits. What can you do about this? Nothing. No matter how high the limits were, you'd have some complaints. It's just the way things are. The only recourse the folks reviewing expense reports have is to basically agree the limits are low and then say they have no choice but to enforce the company policy. This is one issue that can be fobbed off to upper management. If a traveler thinks the guidelines are not fair, they should feel free to discuss it with the powers who set the policy. = The Issue: It would be nice if given all the advances= in technology if some of the old issues impacting expense reporting would = disappear. But that is just not happening. The recent survey conducted by A= P Now reveals that if anything, some of those old thorns are getting worse.=
In the December i= ssue, we take a look at the five biggest issues and as identified by the su= rvey participants and offer solutions, where applicable. Here's one of them= .  
 
= Issue #3: Meal pricing guidelines. Whether you use pe= r diems or just provide guidelines for what is allowable for meals with reg= ard to pricing, a large number of travelers are apt to complain. In fact, 3= 8% of the survey respondents revealed their travelers were not happy about = these limits. What can you do about this? Nothing. No matter how high the l= imits were, you'd have some complaints. It's just the way things are. The o= nly recourse the folks reviewing expense reports have is to basically agree= the limits are low and then say they have no choice but to enforce the com= pany policy.
 
This is one issue= that can be fobbed off to upper management. If a traveler thinks the guide= lines are not fair, they should feel free to discuss it with the powers who= set the policy.
