NYSIF Announces Policyholders Can Now Grant Brokers Access to Claims NYSIF is pleased to announce that workers’ compensation policyholders can now grant the broker of record permission to view online claims information. You can do so by logging in to your nysif.com online account and selecting the “Grant Access” button in the upper left corner. Claims data will be available for one year, unless you decide to revoke access. You will be asked to recertify access each year. Please note that if you are a member of a Safety Group, your Group Manager already has access to this information.
In addition, you now have access to additional claims information, available through your NYSIF online accounts. Reviewing claims is much simpler with an easy-to-navigate portal, which allows you to search by policy or claim number and provides information on benefit payments, decisions, awards, authorized treatments and more.
Policyholders can now also add authorized users to their NYSIF.com accounts. These users will have the same access as the policyholder, which may include access to policy and claims information for both workers’ compensation and disability benefits policies.
Please ensure that all authorized users understand that they are being granted access to confidential information, which must be properly safeguarded.
