Attorney General Jeff Sessions on Friday accepted = the recommendation that former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe be termina= ted =E2=80=94 two days before he was due to retire.

McCabe, who has b= een attacked by President Donald Trump, was planning to retire on Sunday, w= hen he would have become fully eligible for a pension, which is now in jeop= ardy. An internal FBI office had recommended McCabe be terminated afte= r an Inspector General report concluded he was not fully candid in answerin= g investigators=E2=80=99 questions about the FBI probe of Hillary Clinton= =E2=80=99s email server.
