As we anticipate another successful year, we are running through some dropship requirements with all of our partners. As a dropship partner of Bluestem Brands, you are a critical extension of our business and we rely on your commitment to delivering a great experience for our mutual customers - here are a few tips to make this year successful for us both:

Fill Rate: Bluestem expects that you will fill 99%+ of your orders. This requirement is the industry standard and can be reached by:

Inventory Updates: A daily inventory update (at a minimum) is absolutely necessary. A critical piece of our customers experience is ensuring that we are accurately representing our inventories which will help us maximize sales and minimize oversells.

Discontinuing Items: Discontinuing your items can be done via your inventory feed sent to us from CommerceHub by:

Set available quantity to zero
Set availability status to discontinued
Enter a date in the “discontinued date” column (mandatory)
Keep the items on your file for 5 consecutive days (of sending the file) before you delete the items from your feed

On-Time Shipping & Confirmation: Order execution is critical all year. Orders that age past the cancel date may be canceled without prior notification. Bluestem Brands will not be liable for payment once orders are canceled due to non-shipment, non-receipt of the proper documents to close the orders or vendor system issues. Dropship orders are not considered to be shipped until a successful ship confirmation is received and the order is closed within CommerceHub. It will be vital to stay on top of these order deadlines! Please review all email notifications and work with Dropship Operations to ensure proper steps are taken to close past due orders.

PO Box Orders: If you’re unable to ship to a PO Box address, please email customerservice@fingerhut.com to obtain a customer’s street address. Wait 2 full business days, if no response, then please cancel the order in CommerceHub.

Closures & System Issues/Outages: Please contact Dropship Operations on any closures, system issues/outages, or inclement weather that are specific to your region. We require inventory to be brought down to 0 quantity if you are closed for more than 1 business day. We are closed on all national holidays and do not consider these dates as “business days”. If you expect inclement weather, please make every attempt to ensure that you clear out your open orders before the inclement weather arrives.

Product Shipping: Suppliers are asked to process consolidated purchase orders. These orders should be consolidated into as few cartons as possible to minimize the number of packages shipped to the customer without jeopardizing the safety of the items during transit. We ask that all packages are shipped in an appropriate size carton or poly-bag and must be packaged to protect the goods during outbound and potential return shipping.
