It's not much different in other countries. Almost a third (29.35 percent) of workers who have fiddled their expenses admitted they did not feel guilty and felt they deserved the extra money. This is a real problem. Making the matter even worse, 82% of workers who admit to having exaggerated expense claims have never been caught. The New Reality: For some organizations in the US, the new Tax Reform Act is about to make this situation even more dicey. As of January 1, 2018, employees lost their ability to claim a deduction for unreimbursed business expenses that exceed 2% of their adjusted gross income. The Outcome: For businesses, what this means is that employees who, until now, were able to offset reimbursement via their personal income taxes will find that's no longer an option. This will only increase the pool of travelers who now feel "entitled" to help themselves to more than the policy allows. This means it will be more imperative than ever that those reviewing expense reports be alert for fraud and game playing. Tax Reform Could Mean More Expense Headaches: Here's Why<= /div>

The Metrics: Over 15% of UK respondents admitted to having exaggerated = an expense claim, in a survey conducted by webexpenses. It's not much diffe= rent in other countries. Almost a third (29.35 percent) of workers who have= fiddled their expenses admitted they did not feel guilty and felt they des= erved the extra money. This is a real problem. Making the matter even worse= , 82% of workers who admit to having exaggerated expense claims have never = been caught.

The New Reality: For some organizations in the US, the new Tax Reform A= ct is about to make this situation even more dicey. As of January 1, 2018, emp= loyees lost their ability to claim a deduction for unreimbursed business ex= penses that exceed 2% of their adjusted gross income.

= The Outcome: For businesses, what this means is that employees who, until = now, were able to offset reimbursement via their personal income taxes will= find that's no longer an option. This will only increase the pool of trave= lers who now feel "entitled" to help themselves to more than the policy all= ows. This means it will be more imperative than ever that those reviewing e= xpense reports be alert for fraud and game playing.
