We know Amazon is dominant in the consumer shopping arena, but now they are making a splash in the business world, too. Even if you are not an Amazon fan, there is no denying their ability to streamline purchasing activities. Amazon Business, different than the "regular" Amazon we are familiar with, allows an organization to customize and administer its business account to meet business needs. This includes the ability to manage users, payment methods, shipping addresses, and tax exemptions (if applicable). There is also functionality concerning workflow approvals, spend controls, purchasing analytics, and more. It certainly sounds enticing and Commercial Cards are a great fit. However, before you jump in, there are some considerations to discuss with your procurement team and management. Did you know th= at Amazon has a special service for businesses? I didn't until Lynn Larson = turned in her article for the October issue of Accounts Payable Now & Tomor= row. In it she focuses on three emerging p-card issues.

Here's a little= of what Larson had to say about one of the issues.
 
We know Amazon = is dominant in the consumer shopping arena, but now they are making a splas= h in the business world, too. Even if you are not an Amazon fan, there is n= o denying their ability to streamline purchasing activities.
 
Amazon Business= , different than the "regular" Amazon we are familiar with, allows an organ= ization to customize and administer its business account to meet business n= eeds. This includes the ability to manage users, payment methods, shipping = addresses, and tax exemptions (if applicable). There is also functionality = concerning workflow approvals, spend controls, purchasing analytics, and mo= re. It certainly sounds enticing and Commercial Cards are a great fit. Howe= ver, before you jump in, there are some considerations to discuss with your= procurement team and management.
