  1. If you are overnighting or delivering by hand Rush = checks to your payees, consider a switch to ACH, either classic or Same Day= , if the payment is less than $25,000. The payment will get there just as f= ast and will cost your company a LOT less.
     
  2. Receiving invoices by email? You've got a lot of company. But you giv= e back a lot of the potential savings if you print out the invoices before = processing them. Remember, best practice AP departments are looking to elim= inate paper, not create more of it.
     
  3. = One simple policy change can make a huge difference when it comes to expens= e reports. If you have a corporate card, insist employees use it for all th= eir travel. This eliminates a lot of game playing "opportunities." But befo= re you implement, get management backing so when the protesters start compl= aining, they won't have a leg to stand on.
