The IRS has mailed expiration notices to more than one million people whose ITINs are expiring. Check your records to see if you will be issuing 1099s to any individuals who fall into that group. You might want to ensure those individuals submitted a renewal application to the IRS. IRS Update #2: In March, the IRS updated its publication related to the proper handling of B-Notices. IRS Update #1: ITINs with middle digits 70, 71, 72 or 80 are set = to expire at the end of 2017. The IRS has mailed expiration notices = to more than one million people whose ITINs are expiring. Check your record= s to see if you will be issuing 1099s to any individuals who fall into that= group. You might want to ensure those individuals submitted a renewal appl= ication to the IRS.

IRS Update #2: In Ma= rch, the IRS updated its publication related to the proper handling of B-No= tices. Those annoying, time-consuming notices will go our shortly. Make sur= e you have the latest rules/instructions for dealing with them.
