The business world i= s changing and so we must change with it. This means AP will often have iss= ues to address that didn't exist just a few short years ago or we may have = to change practices to accommodate new technology (think Uber), new frauds = (think all the electronic payment frauds) or new processes (think invoice a= utomation, robotics and more). We expect to look at some of these new issue= s in our free Fall AP Recognition Week webinar. Registration for that will = open during the summer and everyone is invited.

Each mo= nth we focus on one developing issue in our monthly fee-based newsletter. T= he May issue addressed three developing issues impacting expense reimbursem= ents. One of those was the REAL ID Act which will impact travelers using th= eir drivers' licenses for identification when traveling on airplanes. If yo= ur state licenses are not compliant, some of your employees could have trou= ble with air travel as early as January 2018.

= Tip: Focus on the states where your employees live = NOT where you are located. For some this will be a non-issue and others may= have to look at two or three or possibly more state requirements.
