Do not click on any links from someone claiming to send you a dropbox link unless you are specifically expecting such a message. You can always check with the person before clicking on it. The "Just When You Think You've Heard Everything" Expense Reimbursement Request: An employee rode a bicycle to an event and asked to be reimbursed at the IRS mileage reimbursement rate. When his request was denied, he ran it up the chain to try and get AP's decision overturned. He was not successful. One of the most va= luable parts of any live meeting is the interaction with the attendees. Oft= en they provide very useful advice based on their real life experiences whi= le speakers provide the up-to-the minute advice you need to run a successfu= l and efficient department.

Here are a few tips from the recent payment f= raud prevention and detection symposium. There will be another on July 13-1= 4 in Philadelphia. There are still some open spots. You can get information= or register for it here.

Check Fraud Prevention Tip: If you occas= ionally hand write paper checks, make sure you use a Uni Ball 207 gel pen. = It contains specially formulated ink that cannot be removed. Packs of four = are available for less than $10.

P-card Fraud Prevention Tip<= /b>: Do you use = ghost or department cards? These are typically used for groups of people an= d only have the company's name on them. If there is no name on the card, no= one can be certain who is responsible for a purchase. If the card is used = fraudulently your company has no recourse and will be responsible for all c= harges. Put a name on these cards, says MUBG's Robin Anderson, and you get = that protection back.

Electronic Payment Fraud Pre= vention Tip:= The latest vehicle being used by crooks to try and get you to click on a l= ink you shouldn't is phony dropbox emails. Do not click on any links from s= omeone claiming to send you a dropbox link unless you are specifically expe= cting such a message. You can always check with the person before clicking = on it.

The "Just When You Think You've He= ard Everything" Expense Reimbursement Request: An employee rode a bicycle to an event a= nd asked to be reimbursed at the IRS mileage reimbursement rate. When his r= equest was denied, he ran it up the chain to try and get AP's decision over= turned. He was not successful.
