I was talking with Rob Unger from NACHA several weeks ago and he asked me a question that made me think. He wanted to know if I thought companies would use ACH debits in place of Rush checks, when it becomes available later this year. I had to admit I didn't know. Then he asked me if companies still did Rush checks and if so was the number high. While I knew Rush checks were still a necessary evil at many companies, I had no idea how many organizations still used them and how frequently. The Survey: This conversation was the basis for a new survey being conducted by AP Now and NACHA together about attitudes towards different payment mechanisms. As you might guess, it is just important to us that you take the survey if you don't use ACH as it is if you do. I also snuck in a few other questions about check habits. The survey should take less than five minutes to complete. I was talking wit= h Rob Unger from NACHA several weeks ago and he asked me a question that ma= de me think. He wanted to know if I thought companies would use ACH debits = in place of Rush checks, when it becomes available later this year. I had t= o admit I didn't know. Then he asked me if companies still did Rush checks = and if so was the number high. While I knew Rush checks were still a necess= ary evil at many companies, I had no idea how many organizations still used= them and how frequently.

= The Survey: This conversation was the basis for a new= survey being conducted by AP Now and NACHA together about attitudes toward= s different payment mechanisms. As you might guess, it is just important to= us that you take the survey if you don't use ACH as it is if you do. I als= o snuck in a few other questions about check habits. The survey should take= less than five minutes to complete.
