ghtning Deal you submit that goes live on or after June 1, 2018. Prior to A=

How much is the base merchandising fee?
At launch there will be three levels of fees, depending on whether the Ligh=
tning Deal is live during an event or not.=20

- Non-event days: $150
- Prime Day: $500
- Prime Week: $300
- Other events (Black Friday, Cyber Monday, etc...): Fees will be determine=
d closer to the date

These amounts are based on the increased traffic we expect to Amazon on eve=
nt days. For example, fees during events like Prime Day will be higher than=
 on non-event days. You will see the fee amount messaged during the deal cr=
eation. The fee amount shown is based on the start date you propose. If the=
 start date changes, you will be charged the base merchandising fee applica=
ble to the start date of your promotion.=20

How and when will I be charged?
The base merchandising fee will be charged in a separate invoice after the =
promotion ends. If your promotion does not go live at all, you won=E2=80=99=
t be charged. However, if your promotion is suppressed after it goes live, =
you will be charged. Promotions may be suppressed after they go live if, fo=
r example, we run out of inventory or the promotional funding you provided =
does not support a promotional price that is the lowest price in the traili=
ng 30 days by at least 5%. We are unable to provide refunds on fees if your=
 promotion has already gone live.

Why is there a fee for Lightning Deals?
This base merchandising fee will help give Amazon customers a great experie=
nce by motivating vendors to offer more valuable deals to customers. Creati=
ng a better customer experience will continue to grow the attractiveness of=
 the deals page, which in turn benefits both vendors and Amazon.
