    is only a small facet of the brand? You remember when Google was just a search
    engine? Amazon? Paypal? These companies change massively, very quickly. Predicting
    where they, society, and market interests will converge in the future is
   nigh-impossible.He now has loads of cash thanks largely to Berkshires incredibly
    large float of premiums that he can deploy to purchase profitable companies.
    He can't really risk that money buying shoddy companies, he needs solid investments
    that will continue to grow. Also, fair companies are far more likely to perform
    poorly than wonderful companies and in in the long term, the original investment
    capital is a small part of the overall fortune earned from owning a great
    company (though the performance is far better with a better price). That
   being said, if he could - his preference would be wonderful companies for
   wonderful prices - but if he has to choose between one or the other - he would
    definitely go for the wonderful company. [...]
