Rest of the story This gets a little entwinned..Black Forest put the mat in their Summer Book that drops May 1 through the end of September. I signed the paperwork back in November. After we decided to drop Visions and replace with Illusions - I sent my contact an email telling them that we were having production issues and were phasing out of the item (sent her email on Jan 5). She responded she would take out of the book, but then a week later they placed a stock order for 10 pcs to ship April 15, that we told her that we had the pcs on - we just shipped the order last week 2 pcs short and we got a nasty email back today from the operations manager saying they had a signed agreement from November that we signed off on and that agreement they forecasted 40 pcs and if we could not produce the other 32 pcs we would be charged back for $600.00 for the cost of the picture/catalog space etc (I think operation managers go to school on how to be nasty).. Bottom Line is that I have the email trail where I clearly said we were dropping and my contact acknowledged so we should be in the right - but I want to look past the nasty operations manager and try and help these people out because even though they don't do a lot of business(did $20,000 in 2017) - it is growing and they give us a lot of items and everyone else we deal with is nice and so would like to come up with a way to help them instead of just prove that we told them so.
