Almost everyone is pressed for time these days, juggling work, business and=

ntage. Even in a country that's bringing in millions of tourists a year, th=
ese off-the-beaten track locales miss out.

 close to the international airport and a breeze to get to.

Costa Rica is a tourist marketing machine. The country got 2.6 million tour=
ists in 2016=E2=80=94almost one visitor for every two locals. The country's=
 well known as a destination for beach lovers, wildlife watchers, and those=
 who love adventure sports like zip lining, surfing, and white-water raftin=
g.

There's a little corner of Costa Rica that's paradise for tourists. The bea=
ches are unspoiled, fringed with palm and sea-almond trees. The Pacific wat=
ers are warm, with good dive and surf spots. National parks and reserves co=
ver more than half the land. There's so much wildlife, it's like having a z=
oo on your doorstep...bright-billed toucans, slow-moving sloths, and lively=
 monkeys are common sights here.

This is the Southern Zone. You'd expect a place this beautiful to be the co=
untry's top spot for tourism. But it isn't. That's because for decades it w=
as really tough to get here. Picture washed out roads...potholes so big the=
y could swallow cars...river crossings without any bridge...and you've got =
a good idea of what it was like.

No wonder those mainstream tourists stayed away.

But in 2010, the game-changer happened: New highways opened that connect th=
e Southern Zone to Costa Rica's capital city and its international airport.=
 It's now a breeze to get to...and more and more tourists are coming.

From a real estate perspective, that historic lack of access was a huge plu=
s. While popular, easy to get to tourist areas in Costa Rica saw a real est=
ate boom due to soaring demand for vacation homes, prices in the Southern Z=
one stayed low.

That's now changing. But you can still get in...and lock down a slice of th=
is tropical wonderland...with a lot in a best-in-class community from as li=
ttle as $20,000.

Even better, you can buy with financing. On that $20,000 lot, you'll pay $4=
,000 down and $302 a month over five years.

The price tag is truly tiny. Your monthly payments come in lower than a typ=
ical car payment. And the icing on the cake is the gains. Walk in off the s=
treet to buy a lot in the same community as this $20,000 one...and you'd pa=

Almost everyone is pressed for time these days, juggling work, business and=
 family commitments. So, when it comes to vacation time, most of us want to=
 go somewhere that's easy to get to. We don't want to waste a couple of day=
s each side of our trip just getting to our destination.

That can put spots that are a little harder to get to at a distinct disadva=
ntage. Even in a country that's bringing in millions of tourists a year, th=
ese off-the-beaten track locales miss out. </p>

Almost every visitor will choose the easy option=E2=80=94the areas that are=
 close to the international airport and a breeze to get to.</p>

	<p align=3D"left" style=3D"margin-bottom:1em">

When something like a new road comes along, it can be a game-changer... And=
 for investors who get in at the right time, there's serious profit to be m=

Costa Rica is a tourist marketing machine. The country got 2.6 million tour=
ists in 2016=E2=80=94almost one visitor for every two locals. The country's=
 well known as a destination for beach lovers, wildlife watchers, and those=
 who love adventure sports like zip lining, surfing, and white-water raftin=
g.</p>

	<p align=3D"left" style=3D"margin-bottom:1em">

There's a little corner of Costa Rica that's paradise for tourists. The bea=
ches are unspoiled, fringed with palm and sea-almond trees. The Pacific wat=
ers are warm, with good dive and surf spots. National parks and reserves co=
ver more than half the land. There's so much wildlife, it's like having a z=
oo on your doorstep...bright-billed toucans, slow-moving sloths, and lively=
 monkeys are common sights here. </p>

	<p align=3D"left" style=3D"margin-bottom:1em">

This is the Southern Zone. You'd expect a place this beautiful to be the co=
untry's top spot for tourism. But it isn't. That's because for decades it w=
as really tough to get here. Picture washed out roads...potholes so big the=
y could swallow cars...river crossings without any bridge...and you've got =
a good idea of what it was like.
</p>

	<p align=3D"left" style=3D"margin-bottom:1em">
No wonder those mainstream tourists stayed away.
</p>

	<p align=3D"left" style=3D"margin-bottom:1em">
But in 2010, the game-changer happened: New highways opened that connect th=
e Southern Zone to Costa Rica's capital city and its international airport.=
 It's now a breeze to get to...and more and more tourists are coming.
</p>

	<p align=3D"left" style=3D"margin-bottom:1em">
From a real estate perspective, that historic lack of access was a huge plu=
s. While popular, easy to get to tourist areas in Costa Rica saw a real est=
ate boom due to soaring demand for vacation homes, prices in the Southern Z=
one stayed low.
</p>

	<p align=3D"left" style=3D"margin-bottom:1em">
That's now changing. But you can still get in...and lock down a slice of th=
is tropical wonderland...with a lot in a best-in-class community from as li=
ttle as $20,000.</p>

	<p align=3D"left" style=3D"margin-bottom:1em">

Even better, you can buy with financing. On that $20,000 lot, you'll pay $4=
,000 down and $302 a month over five years.
</p>

	<p align=3D"left" style=3D"margin-bottom:1em">
The price tag is truly tiny. Your monthly payments come in lower than a typ=
ical car payment. And the icing on the cake is the gains. Walk in off the s=
treet to buy a lot in the same community as this $20,000 one...and you'd pa=
y at least $40,000. You're getting a cushion of 100% gains from the get-go.

This is a rare opportunity. You get to profit by buying from a developer th=
at bought the land before the new roads. With the improved access, land pri=
ces in the Southern Zone are rising. The cost of getting development permit=
s and putting in infrastructure is also going up. Any developer trying to g=
et in on the game today in the Southern Zone would not be able to charge $2=
0,000 for a lot like this. They'd likely be looking at pricing in the regio=
n of $80,000.
