 = The EDI 856 Advance Shipping Notice (ASN) is an electronic document that= provides notification of shipped items, quantities, item attributes and sh= ipment attributes. Accurate ASNs are a critical component of a complex supp= ly chain, as they provide visibility to freight in transit for planning and= prioritization. ASNs also help to maintain purchase order (PO) integrity b= y creating a virtual link between the PO and the physical receipt.=20

At this time, Target is not making= any changes to the current Advanced Ship Notice (ASN) requirements. Howeve= r, Target is leveraging the ASN to inform planning decisions, and in the fu= ture will be measuring compliance to the requirements at a more d= etailed level. Please ensure that you are following the requir= ements outlined in the 2018 Supplier Perfor= mance Compliance Policy for all shipments to Target. = ;
