A Message from the Desk of Rabbi Steven Burg
Dear Aish Family=2C

I have often referred to the Aish HaTorah Dan Family World Center as the e=
mbassy of the Jewish people. This week it really was an embassy! We were h=
onored and privileged to host over 40 UN Ambassadors from around the world=
 for a tour and dinner at Aish.

Long-time Aish partner Marc Goldmann called us up a few months ago and ask=
ed if we would like to host a delegation from the UN. Usually=2C when we r=
efer to the UN and Israel=2C it=E2=80=99s not in positive terms. This=2C a=
s was explained to us=2C was an opportunity to create a Kiddush Hashem (Sa=
nctification of the Almighty=E2=80=99s name). On behalf of Aish=2C Rabbi G=
avriel Kleinerman jumped in and did an amazing job at coordinating the eve=
nt with the AZM.

Israeli UN Ambassador Danny Danon brought this group to Israel so they can=
 see first hand the beauty and reality of Israel. As he said =E2=80=9COne=
 of the most beautiful spots in Israel is Aish HaTorah=2C=E2=80=9D We brou=
ght them to the Aish roof for a sunset reception. Rabbi Etiel Goldwicht sh=
owed the Ambassadors the Aish HaTorah Western Wall Experience App where yo=
u can see the Beis HaMikdash (Temple) with the actual background of the cu=
rrent Temple Mount.

We then proceeded to a wonderful dinner under our world famous Chihuly. I=
 was given the opportunity to share some words of Torah with our guests. I=
 talked about Judaism (and Aish=E2=80=99s) core value of taking responsibi=
lity and how that value was brought into the world by Abraham. I pointed o=
ut that by taking on the jobs that they currently hold at the UN=2C they h=
ave taken on responsibility for their countries the same way Abraham did.=
 I thanked them for their support of Israel and the Jewish people.

Aish HaTorah was started 40 years ago by Rav Noach Weinberg zt'l=2C to rea=
ch out to unconnected Jews and help them become Judaically literate. Today=
 we have evolved into a beacon of hope for the entire world. In the over 1=
00=2C000 participants that came through our doors last year in Jerusalem=
=2C a significant constituency contained foreign dignitaries from around t=
he world. Aish is proud to play the role of the Jewish Embassy to the worl=
d. May the Almighty bless our efforts in helping to create support for Isr=
ael and the Jewish people.

Aish Around the World
Heroes of Hope
13 American combat veterans visited Aish World Center. Two fought in Vietn=
am=2C the others in Iraq and Afghanistan. The group was composed of 10 Chr=
istians=2C two Jews=2C and one Muslim. Three Israeli veterans also partici=
pated. The American veterans had little knowledge of Judaism - only what t=
hey learned during their visit to Aish HaTorah.

Visitors to the Aish HaTorah Dan Family World Center

Aish partners Jack and Carole Forgash hosted a brunch for friends from Tea=
neck. Rabbi Steven Prusanzky of Yeshurun Synagogue of Teaneck=2C and Rabbi=
s Steven Burg and Eitiel Goldwicht of Aish HaTorah addressed the group.

The Adlers and the Bermans=2C both from Toronto=2C met on the March of the=
 Living tour which culminated with a visit to Jerusalem. While in the city=
=2C they came to the Aish World Center where they sat in on a class from R=
av Gavriel Friedman. Judith Berman had previously been at the Center while=
 on a JWRP mission.

Alfredo and Esther Daniel from Mexico City visited the Aish World Center.=
 They are in Jerusalem to see their daughter Galia=2C one of the 16 worldw=
ide finalists=2C participate in the Independence Day International Bible C=
ontest.

Ronnie and Rebeca Steinberg from Hollywood=2C Florida came to see the Aish=
 World Center.  Ronnie has not been to Israel for 26 years. On their first=
 day in the country=2C they came to the Observation Deck for the view that=
 they have been greatly anticipating. Ronnie has been an active community=
 member of Aish South Florida for almost 20 years.

After visiting Poland=2C the New York - New Jersey March of the Living Gro=
up came to Jerusalem. Their visit to the Aish World Center included a priv=
ate screening in the Kirk Douglas Theater and this special group picture f=
rom the rooftop vantage point.


Simone Baruch and Ben Pegler came to Israel from quite far away=2C Aucklan=
d=2C New Zealand=2C (16=2C300km / 10=2C130 miles) to join family for a Bar=
 Mitzvah celebration in Jerusalem. They came to see the Aish World Center=
 before doing the Kotel Tunnel Tour=2C and exited through the Hochstein Ga=
te onto the Kotel plaza. Their visit was=2C =E2=80=9CAmazing=2C thank you!=
=E2=80=9D

Institut Montaigne=2C a leading nonprofit=2C transpartisan think tank base=
d in Paris=2C France came on a working visit to Israel. They are currently=
 proposing policy recommendations to the French President. A visit to the=
 Aish World Center Observation Deck was part of their Jerusalem Day excurs=
ion.

he Aish HaTorah Dan Family World Center as the embassy of the Jewish peopl=
e. This week it really was an embassy! We were honored and privileged to h=
ost over 40 UN Ambassadors from around the world for a tour and dinner at=

ity to create a Kiddush Hashem (Sanctification of the Almighty=E2=80=99s n=
ame). On behalf of Aish=2C Rabbi Gavriel Kleinerman jumped in and did an a=
mazing job at coordinating the event with the AZM.&nbsp;<br>

Israeli UN Ambassador Danny Danon brought this group to Israel so they can=

et reception. Rabbi Etiel Goldwicht showed the Ambassadors the Aish HaTora=
h Western Wall Experience App where you can see the Beis HaMikdash (Temple=
) with the actual background of the current Temple Mount.&nbsp;<br>

 our world famous Chihuly. I was given the opportunity to share some words=
 of Torah with our guests. I talked about Judaism (and Aish=E2=80=99s) cor=
e value of taking responsibility and how that value was brought into the w=
orld by Abraham. I pointed out that by taking on the jobs that they curren=
tly hold at the UN=2C they have taken on responsibility for their countrie=
s the same way Abraham did. I thanked them for their support of Israel and=
 the Jewish people.&nbsp;<br>

Aish HaTorah was started 40 years ago by Rav Noach Weinberg zt'l=2C&nbsp;t=
o&nbsp;reach out to unconnected Jews and help them become Judaically liter=
ate. Today we have evolved into a beacon of hope for the entire world. In=
 the over 100=2C000 participants that came through our doors last year in=
 Jerusalem=2C a significant constituency contained foreign dignitaries fro=
m around the world. Aish is proud to play the role of the Jewish Embassy t=
