A Message from the Desk of Rabbi Steven Burg
Dear Aish Family=2C

I mentioned to someone in the United States that Aish HaTorah lost one of=
 the pillars of our movement when Rabbi Eric Most passed away at the young=
 age of 46. A few hours later he called and said that he googled Rabbi Eri=
c Most but did not find very much information. I replied that is because o=
f the fact that his greatness lay in his humility. In a world where most o=
f us are obsessed with seeing our name and adding up how many =E2=80=9Cfri=
ends=E2=80=9D we have=2C Rabbi Most quietly set an example for all of us t=
o follow.

Eric=2C as we all called him=2C did not start his career as a Rabbi. He wa=
s a brilliant lawyer who practiced environmental law in a major New York f=
irm. Eric started to learn Torah at Yeshiva Aish HaTorah and could not sto=
p=2C eventually becoming a staff member.

Eric brought his incredible organizational skills to the Aish HaTorah Dan=
 Family World Center where he helped coordinate learning classes for hundr=
eds of groups. His attention to detail was legendary and he did it all wit=
h a smile.
Almost ten years ago=2C Eric fell ill. He went through many rough patches=
 throughout the years=2C yet he never stopped coordinating groups at Aish.=
 I don=E2=80=99t think any of the program heads were aware that they were=
 getting emails many times from Eric=E2=80=99s bed at Hadassah hospital. I=
 have never known a more giving man.

A year ago=2C Eric apologized to me that he was not on top of the bookings=
 they way he wanted to be because his laptop kept shutting down. We immedi=
ately bought him a new one. He made sure that I knew that he would have ma=
de due with his old laptop and that when he mentioned the issue to me he w=
as not asking for a new one. Rather=2C he just wanted to explain what was=
 delaying some of his emails. I have never known a more selfless man.
I once emailed Eric to call me when he had a chance. He emailed me back wi=
th a profuse apology that he was in the hospital and had a tube in his thr=
oat. He was so sorry that he could not call me right away. I have never kn=
own a more thoughtful man.

Although Eric suffered much over the years=2C he never once complained. He=
 was strengthened by his amazing wife=2C Naomi Rivka and their three child=
ren who were more precious to him than all the gold in the world. I have n=
ever known a more loving man.
Although the Aish family has suffered a terrible blow=2C we will carry on=
 and continue the holy work of Rabbi Eric Most. May the Almighty comfort a=
nd strengthen us. May we all learn the lesson of humility and focus on oth=
ers.

Aish St. Louis and Kollel Host Project Inspire Seminar
On the heels of the widely successful Project Inspire conference last mont=
h=2C Rabbis Chaim Sampson and Simcha Barnett led a powerful=2C interactive=
 seminar introducing over 30 men and women from across the orthodox spectr=
um to Project Inspire. The seminar was both inspirational and practical=2C=
 leaving participants thirsting for more. Many people stayed long after th=
e 4 hour seminar finished to discuss how to implement ideas and become par=
t of the outreach movement.
Aish Staff Training
The staff of Aish Jerusalem is constantly being updated and trained in the=
 challenges facing our children and young adults. Yesterday=2C Dr. Ronen H=
izami=2C MD (father of  Aish Gesher Shana Bet student) child=2C adolescent=
 and adult psychiatrist practicing in the NY/NJ area addressed the Aish Je=
rusalem rabbeim in the Aish World Center. Dr. Hizami has given multiple cl=
asses to Rabbonim and mechanchim on mental health issues and answers quest=
ions in the Yated Neeman. Dr. Hizami is a psychopharmacologist with expert=
ise in pharmacogenomic testing.
Visitors of the Aish HaTorah Dan Family World Center

Samuel and Brenda Gewurz from Montreal=2C close friends of Leslie and Anna=
 Dan=2C came to visit with granddaughter Ariana who is studying in  Israel=
=2E They were at the dedication of the Aish World Center Dan Family Building=
 and enjoyed coming back again to see the Observation Deck and the Hall of=
 Notes. They are pictured here outside the Hochstein Entrance before going=
 to the Kotel.


The Price and Rosenfeld Families from Passaic and Fair Lawn=2C New Jersey=
 came to Israel for a family simcha. While in Jerusalem they came to see a=
nd experience the Aish World Center. Rabbi Price is the Head of School at=
 the Rosenbaum Yeshiva of North Jersey.

Lone Soldiers from around the world who moved to Israel on their own and w=
ill be starting their IDF service in the next few months came the Aish Wor=
ld Center Observation Deck. The visit was part of their month long pre ser=
vice preparation course.


Microsoft Executives from around the world came for five days of consultat=
ions in Tel Aviv with Microsoft Israel. Before leaving they came to see Je=
rusalem which included a visit to the Aish World Center.

AT&T American East Coast Marketing Executives (center) came to Tel Aviv to=
 meet with Israel counterparts. Their evening visit to the Aish World Cent=
er was one of the highlights of their day of Jerusalem touring.

 was a brilliant lawyer who practiced environmental law in a major New Yor=
k&nbsp;firm. Eric started to learn Torah at Yeshiva Aish HaTorah and could=
 not stop=2C eventually becoming a staff member.&nbsp;</div>

sh HaTorah Dan Family World Center where he helped coordinate learning cla=
sses for hundreds of groups. His attention to detail was legendary and he=

hat they were getting emails many times from Eric=E2=80=99s bed at Hadassa=
h hospital. I have never known a more giving man.<br>

zed to me that he was not on top of the bookings they way he wanted to be=
 because his laptop kept shutting down. We immediately bought him a new on=
e. He made sure that I knew that he would have made due with his old lapto=
p and that when he mentioned the issue to me he was not asking for a new o=
ne. Rather=2C&nbsp;he just wanted to explain what was delaying some of his=
 emails. I have never known a more selfless man.&nbsp;</div>

ont-size:12px">I once emailed Eric to call me when he had a chance. He ema=
iled me back with a profuse apology that he was in the hospital and had a=
 tube in his throat. He was so sorry that he could not&nbsp;call me right=
 away. I have never known a more thoughtful man.<br>
