A Message from the Desk of Rabbi Steven Burg
Dear Aish Family=2C

This week has been a busy week for us in Jerusalem. We have had many missi=
ons coming through. Jews from around the world descend on the Aish HaTorah=
 Dan Family World Center every day to attend our unique and passionate Tor=
ah classes. It really is one of the most inspirational spots around the wo=
rld.

I want to share with you a moment of inspiration that I had this week. As=
 I was only in Israel for four days=2C my schedule was pretty full. Toward=
s the end of the week=2C I got together with one of the true visionary lea=
ders at Aish=2C Rabbi David Ziering.

Rabbi Ziering was a true pioneer when he set out from our Beis Medrash (St=
udy Hall) in Jerusalem to start the first Aish branch in Tel Aviv. He has=
 been an incredible presence in that city and is well known to so many in=
 the business community as their Rabbi.

A few years ago Aish Tel Aviv was approached by some of the members of the=
 Tel Aviv community with a request. In Israel couples that are about to ge=
t married have to go for premarital classes. Their question was=2C would A=
ish provide those classes for young couples in Tel Aviv. Rabbi Ziering set=
 to work and started an incredible program that contains all the ingredien=
ts necessary for a terrific marriage.

We talked about the progra m and Rabbi Ziering told me that they moved the=
 Aish Tel Aviv offices into WeWork so the couples would feel more comforta=
ble. He also mentioned that they hand deliver a Mezuza to every young coup=
le's doorstep=2C so every time they walk into their new home they remember=
 the dynamic teachers that they met at Aish.

All of this was amazing but the highlight for me was watching the video th=
at they made with interviews of the soon to be newlyweds. Hearing the coup=
les describe in their own words the love and energy that they felt from Ai=
sh HaTorah was truly overwhelming. ** I urge all of you to spend a few min=

ill strengthen their marriage and guide the building of their families. Ma=

Aish Israel's TRIUMPH Leadership Mission in partnership with Bring Israel=
 Home brings Israel's future leaders to spend one week in DC and New York=
 City. Eight Israeli soldiers join every Birthright bus on their tour of I=
srael=2C and the Israelis see Americans becoming truly inspired by Israel.=
 The soldiers then continued to inspire their Birthright friends to stay i=
nvolved in Jewish and Israel activities. A few months later=2C the Israeli=
 soldiers were invited to the US for a Birthright reunion and a week of le=
adership training and the idea of a 'reverse Birthright' was born. The Isr=
aelis came back to Israel with a sense of pride for their Jewish identity.=
 They continue to stay involved with Aish Israel and grow in their Judaism=
=2E

Hasbara Fellowships Social Media Internship
Hasbara Fellowships is proud to offer a social media advocacy internship t=
o give select students the expertise=2C knowledge=2C and tools to become e=
xpert social media resources for their Israel group and Jewish community.

Currently=2C the social media managers for Israel clubs=2C AEPi's=2C and J=
ewish communities on 30 campuses have started to undergo specialized webin=
ar training with Hasbara's social media team and work with Hasbara's regio=
nal staff to accomplish personalized social media goals.

The most recent (the second out of eight) webinar brought in guest lecture=
r=2C Adi Luria=2C the Digital Director of the Israeli Embassy in Washingto=
n DC to lead a session on Branding and Content.

We are excited to work with these campus leaders to make a positive social=
 impact and combat anti-Israel hate online.
Yeshiva Aish HaTorah Vhaarev Na Program
Yeshiva Aish HaTorah has begun an incredible new program called Vhaarev Na=
 under the leadership of Rabbi Binyamin Krauss=2C the senior educator in T=
orah institutions in America for many years. Vhaarev Na is a brand new app=
roach towards learning and mastering gemara through a system of punctuatin=
g and taking notes on the gemara with a very strong system of reviewing th=
e gemara. A few Aish students have already joined the program and have see=
n incredible success in this new system. Vhaarev Na includes weekly commit=
ments that a student makes toward how much he is going to review and that=
 really pushes the students and the group to accomplish a lot.

So far=2C the feedback has been incredible. The students who are participa=
ting are seeing incredible growth in their skills=2C in their enjoyment in=
 gemara and in their excitement to learn. This is one of the reasons why t=
he Aish HaTorah beis medrash (study hall) continues to be so packed all da=
y.

Visitors of the Aish HaTorah Dan Family World Center

Midreshet Torat Chessed=2C MTC=2C based in Netanya=2C came to the Aish Wor=
ld Center for a Discovery Seminar. MTC offers Torah studies accompanied wi=
th a strong emphasis on community Chessed activities.

Corey Rubeck=2C today from Cleveland=2C came for three weeks of introducto=
ry classes at Aish in 2000. He remembers that he had a Shabbat meal then a=
t the home of Rabbi Moti Berger. When he and his family walked into the Ai=
sh World Center this week=2C seventeen years later who do you think they a=
ll happened to meet in the lobby?

Yeshivat Neveh Zion came to the Aish HaTorah World Center for a private Di=
scovery Seminar. After Mincha on the Observation Deck overlooking the Temp=
le Mount=2C together with their rabbaim=2C they took this group picture.

Holocaust survivors who today live down south in Ofakim came to have their=
 Bar and Bat Mitzvahs at the Kotel. Afterwards=2C they came with their fam=
ilies to the Gindi Hall of the Aish World Center for a festive luncheon wh=
ich was accompanied by lots of Yiddishe music.

A contingency of Japanese Defense officials were guests of the Israel Defe=
nse Ministry. In between meetings held at the Defense and Foreign Ministri=
es they came for a quick visit to the Kotel and the Aish World Center.

French Senate Parliament Members came to Israel on a fact finding mission.=
 During their visit to Jerusalem=2C they came to the Aish World Center Obs=
ervation Deck to get a better understanding of the city.

Carol and Steve Sorensen from Colorado=2C pictured here at the Hochstein E=
ntrance=2C came to Israel after just running both the New York and Athens=
 Marathon. Their visit to the Aish World Center was highlighted by a priva=
te screening in the Hall of Notes.

Dr. Joseph Kanguda from Kinshasha=2C D.R. Congo came on a private tour to=
 Israel. His host brought him to the Aish World Center Observation Deck an=
d after they went down to the Hall of Notes.

Japanese contemporary artists=2C sculptors=2C and museum curators were gue=
sts of the Israeli Foreign Ministry. They toured Jerusalem upon their arri=
val which brought them to the Aish World Center Observation Deck.

 Jerusalem. We have had many missions coming through. Jews from around the=
 world descend on the Aish HaTorah Dan Family World Center every day to at=
tend our unique and passionate Torah classes. It really is one of the most=
 inspirational spots around the world.&nbsp;<br>

I want to share with you a moment of inspiration that I had this week. As=
 I was only in Israel for four days=2C my schedule was pretty full. Toward=
s the end of the week=2C I got together with one of the true visionary lea=
ders at Aish=2C Rabbi David Ziering.<br>

t out from our Beis Medrash (Study Hall) in Jerusalem to start the first A=
ish branch in Tel Aviv. He has been an incredible presence in that city an=
d is well known to so many in the business community as their Rabbi.&nbsp;=

A few years ago Aish Tel Aviv was approached by some of the members of the=
 Tel Aviv community with a request. In Israel couples that are about to ge=
t married have to go for premarital classes. Their question was=2C would A=
ish provide those classes for young couples in Tel Aviv. Rabbi Ziering set=
 to work and started an incredible program that contains all the ingredien=
ts necessary for a terrific marriage.&nbsp;<br>

y walk into their new home they remember the dynamic teachers that they me=
t at Aish.&nbsp;<br>

p with Bring Israel Home brings Israel's future leaders to spend one week=
 in DC and New York City. Eight Israeli soldiers join every Birthright bus=
 on their tour of Israel=2C and the Israelis see Americans becoming truly=
 inspired by Israel. The soldiers then continued to inspire their Birthrig=
ht friends to stay involved in Jewish and Israel activities. A few months=
 later=2C the Israeli soldiers&nbsp;were invited to the US for a Birthrigh=
t reunion and a week of leadership training and the idea of a 'reverse Bir=
thright' was born. The Israelis came back to Israel with a sense of pride=
 for their Jewish identity. They continue to stay involved with Aish Israe=
l and grow in their Judaism.<br>

sh HaTorah has begun an incredible new program called Vhaarev Na&nbsp;unde=
r the leadership of Rabbi Binyamin Krauss=2C the senior educator in Torah&=
nbsp;institutions&nbsp;in America for many years. Vhaarev Na&nbsp;is a bra=
nd new approach towards learning and mastering gemara&nbsp;through a syste=
m of punctuating and taking notes on the gemara with a very strong system=
 of reviewing the gemara. A few Aish students have already joined the prog=
ram and have seen incredible success in this new system. Vhaarev Na includ=
es weekly commitments that a student&nbsp;makes toward how much he is goin=
g to review and that really pushes the students and the group to accomplis=
h a lot.<br>
<br>
So far=2C the feedback has been incredible. The students who are participa=
ting are seeing incredible growth in their skills=2C in their enjoyment in=
&nbsp;gemara&nbsp;and in their excitement to learn. This is one of the rea=
sons why the Aish HaTorah beis medrash&nbsp;(study hall) continues to be s=
o packed all day.<br>
