Just another day for me didn't think much of it but the other time I should have died. This was on a back road with a lot of hills but a straight line. I'm racing my girlfriend to the house (I'm doing at least 80-90 no less for sure). I come over one of the hills and some teenager in a bmw comes barreling over that same hill half in his lane half in mine running every bit as fast as I am paying **zero** fucking attention. I literally thought I was about to die in a wreck so I did all I could do which was put my car as far over as I could without going off into a ditch and lay on the horn and wait just hope. Amazing this kid swerves back into his lane im sure not without fishtailing some but I didn't hear a wreck so I don't care. I still think about that day and I haven't speed through there except for twice after that. Your life can end in an instant if your going to race or even just speed for that matter **PAY ATTENTION!!!*** As a truck driver, you become intimately familiar with this feeling. To the point where, after narrowly avoiding certain death, you just chuckle for a second and keep on driving. That video making the rounds of a Syrian rebel nearly getting her head taken off by a sniper and just laughing it off captures this perfectly. Also to learn to think calm and quick in this situations. Can build quicker reactions and helps to incorporate that into when peak wind generation happens in the middle of the night. It would kick-start the rural economies of those states I would love to see the actuarial tables on the odds of a turbine making it's $$$ in electricity before it gets slurped by a twister. Probably very high. Tornado alley is a very big place, and most tornadoes don't reach more than a mile wide. The chance of a specific turbine getting destroyed by a tornado is so remote that it's a rounding error in any calculation.
